March was dry, temperatures fairly good and last weeks Twitter feed was full of stunning looking golf courses.
It’s at this time of the year things begin to start moving, all the winter projects feel like they were worth it and the compliments begin rolling in.
For a long time, we’ve associated this change in growth with temperature but I’m beginning to wonder how large a part light plays in this growth pattern.
Above I have tracked the light over March in 4 different areas of the country to try and correlate amounts of light and when turf conditions begin to step up.
You can see from the light figures the amount of light you get is strongly influenced by your location in the country.
Please take the time to complete the attached form – the more feedback I can get the more chance there is of us getting these figures accurate.
