We now know that the coming weeks for everyone involved in turfgrass management in the UK will be uncertain and difficult.
It’s important at this time to remember that the health and well being of yourself and your families must come first.
But having been a golf course manager, not that long ago, I understand the time, effort and passion all turf managers have put into their surfaces, and how challenging some decisions over the next few weeks and months will be. If I ever forget, then a quick check of my Whats App groups is a good reminder.
Glenn and I, as well of the rest of the Syngenta team, have spent a lot of time recently thinking about what we can do at Syngenta to help and support greenkeepers during this time.
On a daily basis we get emails and text messages about best practice and how turf managers can best use Syngenta products to help them during this time. Primo Maxx is a great example: how long does it last?; how much can I put on?; what happens if I double the rate? So keep an eye out on this blog and hopefully we can provide support to answer all these type of questions.
I think we have all seen the value of digital communications in all aspects of our lives to stay connected and up to date at this time. We also have some further ideas to support with education around more general topics, including fungicides or insecticides, in the form of blog posts, webinars and education material .
But these are just our ideas. What is important at this time is that Syngenta listens to its customers and gives support which is truly relevant and helpful. To do this we really would like to get feedback on what you need and what you feel would help at this tough time
If you have any ideas of what we can do please let me know either by email to email@example.com or on the comments section of this blog. We are really keen to hear from you.
We would also like to reassure that, as a business, we have been working hard with our global supply chain teams to make sure products can be available at the right time, if and when you need them. Everyone at Syngenta Turf UK wishes you and your teams the best in this very difficult situation.
